The Faculty Proceedings Committee is a standing university committee elected by the General Faculty. Its membership reflects representation across colleges, faculty ranks, and appointment types, ensuring qualified panels can be convened for disciplinary matters, promotion and tenure reviews, grievances, and other faculty proceedings governed by The Code.

Committee members may not hold senior administrative roles, including dean, department head, or faculty appointments with administrative responsibilities exceeding 0.5 FTE. All members must complete annual training provided by the Office of General Counsel before serving on a panel.

Committee Chair

The Chancellor appoints the Committee Chair from among elected committee members after consultation with the Chair of the Faculty. The Chair serves a two-year term and is responsible for appointing panel members, overseeing committee operations, and providing an annual report to the Faculty Senate and Chancellor on faculty review, grievance, and hearing processes.
