Resolution to Oppose Boycotts of Academic Institutions

Whereas North Carolina State University endorses academic freedom, national and international scholarly exchanges, and open research conduct;

Whereas scholarly organizations should have as their primary function education and research, and encourage joint research endeavors, publications, and scholarly exchanges;

Whereas academicians and scholars should be free to pursue their intellectual conduct with as few restrictions as possible;

Therefore be it resolved that the Faculty Senate of North Carolina State University opposes academic boycotts against academic individuals, groups or institutions.
